LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The Las Cruces-based League of Women Voters of Southern New Mexico has distributed thousands of Voter Guides throughout Doña Ana County, providing voters with nonpartisan information prior to the Local Regular Election on Nov. 4, 2025. The 16-page guide provides candidates’ answers to questions from the League regarding candidate qualifications and priorities. Candidates’ answers are also available on the League-supported website Vote411.org.
“Our Voter Guide and Vote411 are two important resource tools the League provides so that the voting public has information to help them make an educated decision about the candidates and the area tax questions,” said Jo Galván Nash, past president. “Vote411 also provides information for all races throughout New Mexico.”
The printed Voter Guides were distributed inside the Oct. 10 Las Cruces Bulletin, in newspaper stands, and at a variety of government, education, and senior centers. It is also online on the League’s website at www.lwvsnm.org. The guides also include voting dates and deadlines, voting locations, information about voter registration, and absentee voting in English and Spanish, Nash added.
Nash said the League wants the public to be aware of one misprint in the guide. She said the League accidentally printed the wrong questions with the responses provided by Las Cruces Municipal Judge candidate James Derossitt.
“We apologize to Mr. Derossitt for this mistake,” Nash said. “The online version of the Voter Guide has been corrected, and the candidate’s questions and answers on the Vote411.org website are also correct.”
